Becoming a member of the choir
Join the Otley Choral Society and experience the joy of singing choral music together, make lasting friendships, and contribute to our vibrant musical community. We are a four-part choir with around eighty members, drawn from Otley and the surrounding area. We combine with our sister society, Ilkley Choral Society, to perform concerts and are fortunate to perform more than 2 concerts throughout the season!

No auditions are required to join as we welcome singers of all levels and experience. As long as you have a passion for singing and a desire to perform alongside others, you would be most welcome. If you are less experienced, we will endeavour to pair you with someone in your early weeks so you can become more confident and enjoy the experience of singing.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm at Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Farnley Lane, Otley LS21 2BB. There is ample parking available, and level access can be arranged if this is necessary.

Membership costs for the whole 2024-25 season . There are a variety of ways you can pay for your membership. Case by case concessions can be made to the membership subscription where appropriate. With your membership, you would also be welcome to attend the Ilkley Choral Society rehearsals on Monday evenings.

Open rehearsals begin on Tuesday 3rd and 10th September 2024 for this season. There are several stages new members are invited to attend open rehearsals throughout the season. If you would like any further information, please get in touch with us by emailing secretary.otleycs@gmail.com
